School networks often use a variety of security and monitoring products to restrict access to unknown applications or internet traffic. In order for UDBapp to work properly, it will need to be added to the list of approved services. Below is the technical information needed by network administrators to configure UDBapp.

Adding UDBapp to your network "whitelist"

Add the following API to your whitelist: https://new-api.udbapp.com

This is important not only for using the app on school internet, but also to receive password reset emails.

Firewall configurations

The network needs to allow inbound and outbound traffic on HTTP (port 80) and HTTPS (port 443) for new-api.udbapp.com to ensure the mobile app can communicate with the backend.

Web filtering exceptions

The domain new-api.udbapp.com should be whitelisted to prevent any access restrictions that might block the app’s functionality.
